Client stories

Notes from brand managers, distributors, and trade teams who asked us to look closely at household cleaning shelves.

The shelf audit for our dishwashing range showed three stores where our 800 ml bottle had vanished while the 400 ml sachet wall looked full. That single detail changed our restock conversation with the distributor.

We asked for a price landscape brief across twelve HCMC outlets. The tables were clear, though two promo tags were already outdated by the time we met — Ridgepath had flagged those timestamps, which helped us avoid overreacting.

Their assortment review of laundry liquids before our listing pitch gave us a grounded view of scent clusters already crowding mid-tier shelves. We trimmed two proposed variants.

The quarterly store visit program keeps our regional team honest about out-of-stocks in floor cleaners. Photos from District 7 and Binh Thanh arrive with the same checklist every wave.

Longer project notes

Two engagements that show how shelf evidence moved a replenishment talk and a pre-Tet display check.

Shelf Tracking Audit

Dishwashing liquids across twenty modern-trade doors

A Ho Chi Minh City distributor needed proof that a newly listed citrus dishwashing liquid was reaching shelves outside the flagship hypermarket.

Ridgepath ran a focused shelf tracking audit across twenty modern-trade doors over two weeks. The team counted facings for the client’s citrus SKU and three competing liquids, noting empty hooks and promotional hangtags.

Findings showed strong presence in two chains and thin or missing stock in a third, especially on weekend evenings when the bay had been shopped down. The audit pack included aisle photos and a store-by-store table.

The distributor used the pack in a replenishment meeting the following Monday. A mild reservation from their side: they wished the sample had included two traditional-trade shops near wet markets, which we later added as a small follow-up visit set.

Store Visit Program

Pre-Tet floor cleaner endcap check

A surface-care brand wanted to know whether their lemon floor cleaner gained temporary endcap space before Tet.

We scheduled an early-January visit wave covering fifteen stores with an extended checklist for endcaps and gift bundles. The lemon variant appeared on endcaps in six locations, usually paired with a multipurpose spray from the same brand family.

Price tags on the endcaps sometimes disagreed with bay labels; both were recorded. The client’s trade team used the brief to prioritise stores where the endcap had already been dismantled while competitors remained featured.
