What temporary promo tags tell us about floor cleaner demand
Promotional hangtags on floor cleaners often outlast the offer itself. Here is how we timestamp and interpret them during market tracking visits.
Floor cleaner bays in Vietnam’s modern trade often carry laminated hangtags that remain after a promotion ends. Treating every tag as a live offer would mislead a price brief.
Our observers photograph the tag beside the printed shelf label, then mark whether cashiers still honour the reduced price when asked discreetly by a colleague on a separate pass.
Scent variants of the same brand frequently share a tag. We attribute the promo only to packs that sit under the tag’s physical span, not to the whole brand family.
When tags conflict with electronic shelf labels, we record both and flag the conflict for the client’s trade team. Those mismatches are common during festival weeks.
A short caveat in the brief protects decisions: observed tags are field evidence, not a guarantee of nationwide trade terms.
